Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery deals with cancers and tumors of the mouth, head, and neck region. Greater than 90% of head & neck cancers arise within the oral cavity. Common tumors include squamous cell carcinoma, ameloblastoma, and salivary gland tumors. Dr. Hanna is uniquely double-fellowship trained to treat tumors in all areas of the oral cavity, head, and neck.

Reconstructive & Microvascular Surgery
This is the stage of treatment after tumor removal or trauma. Microvascular surgery, specifically, is the transplantation of one body part, called a “flap”, to rebuild another. Flaps can be composed of skin, muscle, or bone. Tiny blood vessels from the flap are sewn to vessels in the neck using a microscope (micro-vascular). Dr. Hanna is fellowship trained in all aspects of reconstructive surgery of the face, head, neck and jaws.
